One of 13 children born to David and Ophelia Mejia of Denver, Colorado, of which Theresa has seven surviving sisters, five surviving brothers and corresponding sisters and brothers-in-law, in addition to more than 26 nieces and nephews. She was married to Gregory Johnson for nearly 17 years, to which there are two stepdaughters and one deceased stepson, five grand-children, and two great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn one brother-in-law and family. With a fantastic career of helping others to help themselves through personal and professional development, Theresa has touched many lives throughout the world.
