Ruth Beard Brown departed this life on September 13, 2025. She was born in Camden, AR, in the rural area of Hwy 24, on April 30,1931, to Elijah and Minnie Beard. She was the middle child of nine brothers and sisters.

Ruth graduated in 1949 from Lincoln High School in Camden, AR. She went on to attend Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, AR, where she met her husband, Freddie Brown, Sr. The couple married in the early 1950s and moved to Cleveland, OH, to start their life together. To this union, they were blessed with a son, Freddie Brown, Jr.

The couple enjoyed their life together until her husband's passing in 1969. Ruth worked in various occupations before establishing her own cleaning business, which she successfully operated for more than 40 years.

During this time, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, never missing an opportunity to spend time with her son and grandsons. She was a faithful and proud member of her church and loved her church family, never missing a chance to show off her church hats. She was also dedicated to gardening, landscaping, and home décor. Not to mention, she was an excellent cook and hosted many memorable family dinners.

Ruth was preceded in death by her late husband, FreddieBrown, Sr.; son, Freddie Jr.; her parents; and all eight siblings.

Ruth leaves behind a loving legacy through her grandsons, Shanandor and Ingshan Brown; daughters-in-law, Gretchen Sylva- Glen and Elise Brown; and great-granddaughter, Syann Brown, all of Cleveland, OH, along with a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
