Life Relictions

Marcus Errol Johnson Sr. was born on June 06, 1986 to
Cathy Johnson and Albert Murphy in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the oldest
of his siblings and loved his youngest sibling Jennifer Hunter dearly. As
a child and throughout his life he spent a lot of time with his mom, his
sister and his maternal grandmother Erlene Johnson who was very
fond of her oldest grandson. He was her baby. He also enjoyed a close
relationship and fond memories growing up with his Aunt Bridget and
his first cousins LaShunae Johnson, Mayshun Hall Jr. and Bertrand
Lewis Jr. He also spent time with his paternal grandmother Elizabeth
Murphy, who loved her 2nd oldest grandson dearly, and he enjoyed
going over her house spending time with his oldest cousin Bernard
Womack and younger cousin Raquel Addison. As a teenager he
attended Euclid City public schools and it was often just the three of
them: Marcus, Jennifer and Cathy growing up.
Marcus loved his mom and she loved him very much and supported
all his dreams wishing only the best for her baby. She along with his
grandparents and her village, taught him the value of good manners
and courtesy, and that hospitality is no small thing. He also learned
"that there is no excuse for poor craftsmanship," which helped him
become more in touch with his creative side and become a builder at
heart, constructing numerous projects. One of the projects he made
remains in his sister's backyard and will be a constant reminder of how
truly talented a person he was and how much he took pride in his
work. When he was building, he was doing what he loved.
Marcus also loved his role as big brother. With the five-year
difference he would often babysit his little sister Jennifer when they
were younger, cooking her meals, even if he got scolded by mom,
because that was his little sister and the bond was real. His sister
Jennifer was his friend, his confidant, and, more often than either of
them would like to admit, his bridge over troubled waters.

REFLECTIONS

Marcus Errol Johnson Sr. enjoyed cooking, was into cars and
was known for his fashion. He took his fashion cues from no one and you
often saw him in his favorite colors black, red, white & gold. As he
matured into adulthood his eye caught sight of his wife Mossi Johnson
and they married in 2007. Little did he know the best was yet to come
from this union in love ~ the joy of fatherhood. He loved building and
being creative but his greatest three creations were his three sons,
Marcus Errol Johnson Jr, Joshua Aden Johnson, and Jeremiah Bobbylee
Johnson whom he loved dearly. He loved being a father. He also had a
very special relationship with his nieces Jaidah Hunter (Boogie)
Brooklyn Hunter, Emery Hunter and a nephew Kymani Hunter as well
as his brother-in-law Mondale Hunter.

Marcus loved his family and friends dearly and they loved him. He
departed this earth on March 30, 2021 at the young age of 34 due to
complications from Type 1 diabetes, which he battled since being
diagnosed at 19, but not without leaving his "Mark" on this world. He
was preceded in death by his three grandfathers Willie J. Murphy Sr,
Curtis Johnson and Andrew Cook. He leaves to mourn and cherish his
memory wife Mossi Johnson, three sons Marcus Errol Johnson Jr,
Joshua Aden Johnson, Jeremiah Bobbylee Johnson, mother Cathy
Johnson, father Albert Murphy (Paula), sister and brother in-law
Jennifer Hunter (Mondale Hunter), brother Forenza Rakeem Murphy,
two grandmothers Erlene Johnson, Elizabeth Murphy, three nieces
Jaidah Hunter "Boogie", Brooklyn Hunter and Emery Hunter, nephew
Kymani Hunter, three aunts Bridget Johnson, April Thomas(Troy),
Jackie Robinson and two uncles Willie Murphy Jr., Jefery Murphy
(Briana) and a host of other family, relatives and friends.
Marcus ~ We love you always and you will remain in our hearts
forever.
