Loretta Walker Sewell, born December 6, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, was the beloved daughter of Eugene and Delores Walker, who preceded her in death. She was the youngest sister of seven siblings: Carol, Eugene Jr (deceased), Elaine (deceased), Phylis (deceased), Martin (deceased), and Richard (deceased).

Loretta was raised in a very close family in the 111th and Superior community in Cleveland, Ohio. She often stated that she and her cousins were so close growing up that they felt more like siblings.

Loretta attended Cleveland Public Schools and earned her GED; from there, she attained her Associate of Arts Degree from Youngstown State University.

Loretta Walker and Calvin Thomas (deceased) were blessed with three beautiful children: Catrina (deceased), LaShaunda, and Ricardo.

Loretta primarily worked in financial institutions throughout her career, notably at Society Bank (Key Bank) for 10+ years. While working for Society Bank she was introduced to her husband John Sewell.

Loretta and John, both baptized members of Morning Star Baptist Church, were married there on February 1, 1992. She remained a devoted wife until his death on November 21, 1998.

Loretta was a devoted Christian and trusted in God's word most of all. She loved music, sweets, plants, and reminiscing with family and friends about the "Good Ol' Days". Most of all she was proud of and loved her whole family.

Loretta found love again and began building a life with Stacey Barrow, who she loved until her last day.

On November 12, 2022, her time with us here on earth came to an end. She leaves behind to mourn, her partner Stacey Barrow, daughter LaShaunda, son Ricardo (Crystal), sister Carol (Ernie), granddaughters: Kiaarra, Deo'vion, Deja, Shaila, Dyamond, Nadia; grandson: Devin; 3 great-grandchildren, Gourney, Justice, and J'lynn, and an abundance of loving family and treasured friends.
