LaTonya Sharese Geiter was born to Lydia Geiter and David Hairston, Sr. on January 8, 1982, in Cleveland Ohio.
LaTonya gave her life to and accepted Christ at an early age. She attended high school and graduated in Cleveland, Ohio. She received her license as a Head Chef in her professional life, cooking and preparing meals at nursing homes and hospitals, and caring for people.
LaTonya loved cooking, feeding, and being surrounded by her family and friends. She was an exceptional photographer in her spare time, keeping so many memories of her family. She was that Big Sis for family and friends, a listener for comfort and problem solving for them. She loved listening to her music, reading and dancing. She was an avid lover of fashion. She also loved seafood and fine dining. She was so oved and will be dearly missed.
LaTonya had high expectations for Naziyr, and she saw that they were accomplished. He graduated and played football through high school and through her guidance, he is well on his way to a successful life.
LaTonya went home to be with the Lord on December 27, 2022. She was preceded in death by father David Hairston Sr., brother Mario Hairston, grandfathers, Hennings Geiter, Sr, and Henry C. Hairston, and her grandmother, Elizabeth C. Hairston.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son Naziyr Moore, mother Lydia Geiter, grandmother Olivia Price Whaley; brothers Shelton Reeves, David Hairston, Chris Hairston, and sisters Dionna Geiter and Davzanae Hairston; uncles Joseph Price, Hennings Price, Harold Price, Mark Hairston, and Joseph Geiter, nieces, Destiny, Dynasty, Shanice, Semira and Uriyah; nephews, Man-Man, Davon, David, Kyrell, Dauve, Daylon, Shawn, and Jue, and a host ofother nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Naziyr wants to thank LaTonya for being the best mother God could have given him. "Thank you, Mom, for being a mother and friend to my friends and neighbors, seeing them through some rough and dark times. That made you so special to me. A special thanks to Uncle Herk for comfort, Uncle Shelton, and David for loving her so as brothers, Uncle Joseph for being their countless times. Thank you, Auntie Dionna, for being there and loving your sister always. Thank you to all my uncles for standing beside me and my mom through it all. Thank you to my Grandma Lydia for loving her unconditionally, and Grandma Olivia for the being the matriarch of the family that you are. I love you so, Mom and I will miss you so much."
