James Carmen Chavers, Jr. affectionately known as "Baby Boy", was born on November 7, 1993 in Cleveland, Ohio to Barbara Bruce and James Chavers, Sr.

James grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Lincoln West High School in 2012. Baby Boy was the life of the party! He would light up a whole room with his loving smile. He loved to sing, dance, and play sports. Baby Boy swore he was Bob the Builder (aka handyman).

Baby Boy was saved and participated in the kids youth program for many years. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. He was a family man who loved his family profoundly, especially his mother Barbara, as he was her only son; he had five sisters. He was a devoted son, uncle, brother and friend.

James passed away December 2, 2022 at the age of 29. He was preceded in death by his father, James, Sr., his grandparents, Calvin Chavers, Dorothy Bruce and Wilson Bruce.

Baby Boy leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Barbara Bruce, siblings; Dejwana, Carmen (fiancé Teon), Jasha, Samia, Alexis (fiancé Monaiye), Alasiaj and James (NuNu); his grandmother Bernice Davis; nieces and nephews, Aaron, Raanna, Earl, Eric, Jalen, Erica, Khloe, Cassandra, Cornell, Lanazia, Robert , Jabez, Reggeon, Erin, Jovon, Major, Amariona, Malan, Aarriah and a host of other relatives and special friends.
