IONA LEE HERNDON, age 96, beloved wife of George Herndon (deceased), passed away Nov. 8, 2013. Loving mother of Vontella Harding and Carol Waiters, cherished grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, and caring aunt to many nieces and nephews. Viewing Friday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at Strowder's Funeral Home, 822 E. 105th St.; wake and service Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church, 1161 E. 105th St.
