IDA MAY SMALL, 75 passed away Aug. 10, 2014, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Ida was born to the union of Ida and David Sykes in Sandusky, IL. She was married to her husband Rudolph, a career U.S. Army Sergeant, in 1959, accompanying him on various military assignments which included the Cleveland area and two European tours. He retired in 1975 making Olmsted Twp. their home. Ida was devoted to her daughter, Elizabeth Rochelle and grandson, Andrew. She was employed as a Collection supervisor for Sears & Roebuck Co. and at Firestone/Bridgestone Tire & Rubber Co. for a total of 15 years. Retired from a private collection agency. She was tireless in her efforts of mentoring less fortunate women and helping those in need. VIEWING Thursday, Aug. 14, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. at Strowder's.
