Edna E. Gordon (Patton-Taylor), the first child born to the union of Jeffrey Helen Gordon and Estelle Gordon, was born on January 31, 1945, in Greenwood, Mississippi. Preceding her in death were Jeffrey Helen (mother), Lawrence Crittender (brother), Helen Gordon (sister), Anthony Williams (son).

In 1948 the family moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Edna attended John Hay High School 1960 to 1963. Edna met Ralph Williams in 1964 and this union produced Anthony Williams (deceased) and Denise Williams (Michael). Edna met John Patton in 1968 and this union produced Maurice Patton.

Edna briefly resided in Little Rock, Arkansas and Chicago, Illinois before returning to Cleveland, Ohio. She was employed by the Hartford Insurance Company, Ace Check Cashing as a manager and finally at the City of Cleveland from 1988 to 2009 as an employment specialist until her retirement. She became a member of the Eastern Star Organization in 1980.

Her favorite past time as was binge watching old western movies, Court TV and reading. She also enjoyed Saturday shopping trips with her mother. Edna also enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends and family and some of here favorite meals were surf and turf. Music was also important aspect of here life and her favorite entertainer was Marvin Gaye and most recent favorite song was "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran.

Edna leaves behind to cherish her memory, brothers Larry B.Crittenden, James Stevenson, sister, Betty C. Mateen (Paul), her daughter, Denise Williams (Michael), son, Maurice Patton.Grandchildren: Quiana Tinsley, Anthony Williams, Jr., Darcell Burgan, Allan Burgan (Janelle), Christopher Patton, Courtland Patton, St, Drashawn Patton, nine great- grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other close relative and special friends. She also leaves to cherish her memory her special companion, Lee Broadnax.

And while she lies in peaceful sleep, her memory we shall always keep.
