On February 6, 1996, Davasia Marie Richele Sales was born to Richard and Davidia Sales in Lorain, Ohio. Just a few months after she was born, Davasia and her mother moved to Cleveland, Ohio where her assignment to impact and change lives became a realization. Davasia was diagnosed with spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy at six months old. As a nonverbal child she was not able to formulate words and express her thoughts, but her presence spoke volumes and commanded the attention of anyone around her. While residing in Cleveland with her parents, Davasia attended William Patrick Day and Maple Heights City Schools where she had many friends and captivated the hearts of many teachers, aides and administrators. Davasia made a positive impact on the Cleveland community with her infectious smile and warm personality. She touched the hearts of many and left a lasting impression on those who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Davasia and her mother later returned to Lorain, Ohio, where she continued her educational journey at Murray Ridge School. In true Davasia fashion, she commanded the attention of her peers and teachers alike as they anticipated her arrival daily on the school bus just to see what fashionable & coordinated outfit she was wearing each day. Davasia made a positive impact on the communities that surrounded her no matter where she lived. Her infectious laugh, bright eyes and warm personality brightened the lives of many. Despite the many challenges she faced due to cerebral palsy, she remained a beacon of hope and inspiration to her family and friends.

Davasia was such a vibrant soul. She enjoyed watching her favorite television shows; Blue's Clues, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and the Golden Girls one of which she took a great liking to in this past year. The theme music to each show and any other tune with a catchy beat excited Davasia to a place of pure joy; she loved music. Davasia also loved maracas and balloons. The two together brought her great joy, peace and happiness as she would shake her maraca and watch the balloon tied to it for hours on end.

On April 9, 2023, our beloved Davasia received the promise and made her heavenly transition to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph Watson Jr. and Harrison D. Sales, and her step-grandfather, Albert Dublin.

Davasia leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire us all. She will be deeply missed by her mother and father, Davidia and Richard; her siblings, Tiera Cross and Justin Sales; her aunts, Alisia Watson (Lee), Terry Watson, Tabatha Watson, and Michaela Watson; her uncles, Joey Watson, Keith Watson, Canaan Watson, Clarence Sales, and Erik Sales; and her grandparents, Beulah A. Dublin, Patricia A. Sales, Barbara Watson, and LaRay Sales.

Let us celebrate Davasia's life and honor her memory by continuing to spread love, kindness, and compassion to those around us.
